Unaccompanied baggage rules:

Your luggage may only contain new (with purchase receipt) or used goods (clothing, shoes, toiletries/ personal hygiene) intended for personal use, compatible with the circumstances of the trip. Other goods, including gifts, are allowed, but must not exceed the quantitative limits and that, by their nature, quantity and variety do not characterize commercial and / or industrial destination. Upon entry to the country, unaccompanied baggage must: arrive within 3 (three) months prior to or until 6 (six) months after the arrival of the traveler; and come from local or one of the places of residence or origin of the traveler.

What can you send?

Toiletries, clothing and shoes that, by their nature and quantity, are compatible with the circumstances of the trip (used by the traveler during the trip). Proof of compatibility with travel circumstances may be required, taking into account, among other variables, length of stay abroad. All the other assets of the traveler, including gifts, are subjected to inspection and may be taxable.

What cannot be sent:

  • Goods above the quantitative limit.
  • Motor vehicles in general, motorcycles, scooters, motor bikes, boat engines, watercraft and the like, motor homes, aircraft and all types of boats.
  • Parts and components of motor vehicles in general, including tires, motorcycles, scooters, motor bikes, boat engines, watercraft and the like, motor homes, aircraft and all types of boats.
  • Goods intended for resale (commercial use) or industrial use.
